The FEIRICH/MAGER/GREEN/RYAN appellate practice group has decades of experience in handling appeals in a variety of cases involving civil practice, including insurance defense, medical malpractice, products liability, premise liability, municipal law, and workers' compensation. We have also handled numerous state administrative appeals in workers' compensation and occupational disease claims before the Workers Compensation Commission, the circuit courts, and the appellate court in Illinois and before the Office of Administrative Law Judges, Benefits Review Board, and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in federal claims.
This practice group is led by Michael F. Dahlen who has approximately 35 years of experience in appellate litigation. He was the former research director and court administrator for the Illinois Appellate Court, Fifth District. He is currently a member of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association and has been a member of the board of directors for that organization. Additionally, he has published over 22 articles on civil litigation, appellate practice, and insurance matters. He has presented programs on appellate practice and procedure before the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Office of the State Appellate Defender, the Illinois Bar Association, Southern Illinois University's School of Law and local bar associations.
FMGR's appellate practice group has the experience to provide well researched and well written briefs. We apply the same thoughtful dedication to appeals where FMGR was not counsel in the lower courts. That is why law firms and other litigants retain FMGR's appellate practice group to handle their appeals.
