Athina Pentsou is an associate at Feirich/Mager/Green/Ryan since Fall 2020. Her practice areas include real estate, general estate planning, business formation, insurance defense, and general civil litigation.
She was born in Greece, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree of Law (LL.B.) and a Master's Degree with Honors in Civil Law (LL.M.) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Being a member of the Athens Bar Association, Greece, since 2011, Athina practiced with the law firm of Achilleas E. Bitsaxis and Associates in Athens, Greece, specializing in bankruptcy law, creditors' rights, and debt management.
In 2016, Athina moved to the United States and enrolled in the Southern Illinois University School of Law. During her studies, she was awarded the Judge Richard E. Richman Ethics Scholarship, received 7 CALI Awards for Academic Excellence, and was named to the Deans' List.
A magna cum laude graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Law, Athina served as a Chief Articles Editor of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal in 2018-2019. She completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Magistrate Judge Reona J. Daly at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, Benton, IL, in Summer 2017, and interned at Foley & Mansfield PLLP, St. Louis, MO, in their mass tort and toxic tort practice group, in Summer 2018.
Athina is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri, as well as in Greece. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Jackson County Bar Association, and the Athens Bar Association, Greece.

Athina resides in Carbondale, Illinois, and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
