Governmental and Municipal Entity Defense
The firm has a long history of providing defenses to governmental entities, including municipalities, townships and park districts. We represent the Illinois Municipal League’s Risk Management Association (IMLRMA), Township Officials of Illinois Risk Management Association (TOIRMA), and Illinois Parks Association Risk Services (IPARKS).
The defense of these entities involves a wide range of claims, including personal injury on governmental property, employment disputes, civil rights claims and malpractice actions brought against locally owned hospital and ambulance services.
Recent significant defense verdicts have been achieved in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois in several civil rights claims asserted against local police agencies, as well as state circuit court tort claims against municipal employees.
