Mr. Giacone was born in Benton, Illinois in 1973. He graduated cum laude from Southeast Missouri State University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at Southeast, he was the captain of the golf team and received the Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in 1995. He earned his juris doctor from the University of Missouri in 1998 where he served as associate editor-in-chief of the Journal of Dispute Resolution.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Giacone worked as an associate at Brown, Hay & Stephens in Springfield, Illinois and later engaged in private practice with his father in Benton. He is a member of the Jackson County, Franklin County (past vice-president), and Illinois State Bar Associations. He was admitted to the bar of the State of Illinois in 1998 and is also licensed to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central District and Southern District of Illinois.
Mr. Giacone has primarily practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation, but in recent years has expanded his practice to include a variety of areas including contract drafting and disputes, real estate and general business advice. He also served as the Managing Partner at the firm from 2014-2022, where he ran the day-to-day operations of the office. He lives in Benton, Illinois, with his wife Julie and their children, Mitch and Lucy. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
