Mr. Ryan was born in Jacksonville, Illinois. He attended Campion Jesuit High School. In 1973 he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver. Mr. Ryan moved to Carbondale where he enrolled in the charter class of the Southern Illinois School of Law from which he graduated in 1976.
During law school, Mr. Ryan was on the dean’s list and received the American Jurisprudence Award for academic achievement. Since graduating from law school, Mr. Ryan has held positions in several professional associations, including the Jackson County Bar, Illinois State Bar, and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys and the American Society of Law and Medicine.
Mr. Ryan’s practice is in the defense of medical negligence, personal injury, employment discrimination, and product liability.
