About Kevin
Kevin Mechler was born in Waterloo, Illinois, and received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in 1979. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1982, where he received the American Jurisprudence award for academic achievement in Torts.
Mr. Mechler has extensive experience representing clients in workers’ compensation claims. He also represents his clients in employment and labor issues which often arise during the handling of workers’ compensation claims. He has appeared in trial and appellate courts throughout the State of Illinois and regularly appears before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. He was previously also licensed in Kentucky and has represented clients before the Kentucky Board of Workers Claims. Mr. Mechler’s practice focuses on the handling of workers’ compensation claims at all procedural levels. It also includes civil litigation as well.
Mr. Mechler is a member of the Jackson County and Illinois State Bar Associations. He is a member of the Workers’ Compensation, Tort, and Insurance sections of the Illinois State Bar Association. He has served on the Workers’ Compensation Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association and has spoken about workers’ compensation topics at numerous seminars. He has authored articles on various workers’ compensation topics which have been published in legal publications.
